Start with the Inside Game!

When it comes to growth and strategy, most people jump straight to the plan. But here’s my coaches challenge:
Go deeper. Take a closer look at the relationship you or your team have with these three things:
1. The Mind
Did you know we’re subject to more than 180 cognitive biases every single day? That’s a lot of ways our thinking can trick us. If we’re limited to only the scope of our own thoughts, we’re already playing small.
Our inside game strongly influences our outside game.
2. Time
We’ve all said it: “I don’t have enough time.” But what if the shift isn’t about cramming in more, but reshaping our relationship with time altogether?
3. The Uncontrollable
This one’s tough. Change, temptation, problems, setbacks—things we can’t control show up daily. The question is, how do we meet them?
Authentic leadership isn’t just about how we think or behave—it’s also about how we feel, and how we stay connected to our deeper purpose. We’ve all been navigating heaviness and disruption, and it’s clear: today’s leaders need stamina for the long haul.
Here’s the good news: it’s never too late to integrate learning and development into your rhythm. When we embed it deeply—not just as a plan on paper but as part of how we show up every day—we build leaders who can go the distance.
If this sparks something for you, let’s connect. I’d love to explore what “inside game” work could look like for you or your team.
